At every trade show, there are a wide variety of formulas. One of them is the naked stand. Naked because it's not dressed, of course😉. But it's also naked because no services are included, notably electricity. In this case, exhibitors must order an electrical box. But how do I know whether to order a 3.5 Kwh or 20 Kwh electrical box?
Estimate your stand's power consumption
You need to list the electrical equipment that will be used on the stand, estimate the power consumption of each, then add it all up. All electrical appliances carry a manufacturer's label indicating consumption in watts.
Intermittent and permanent modes of an electrical box
And what do intermittent and permanent modes mean?
Intermittent mode operates only at night, whereas permanent mode operates day AND night.
The permanent mode is particularly useful for keeping a fridge cool without interruption, for example.
The importance of a site electrical box
And finally, what is a site box? A site box will provide you with electricity before the show opens and after it closes, for set-up and dismantling. In particular, it allows you to set up and test whether everything is working properly. Some organizers ask for the power to be switched on the day before the show opens, while others ask for it to be switched on the morning of the opening.
Thanks to this, no more stress on the morning of the show opening 😉
